Medford Superintendent Salary Approved
School committee members approved a slightly higher salary for Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent, who takes over July 1.

MEDFORD, MA – School committee members this week unanimously approved a contract for Dr. Marice Edouard-Vincent, who will take over as superintendent of schools July 1. Edouard-Vincent will earn $195,000 annually, slightly higher than Superintendent Roy Belson's 2016 salary of $173,923, according to the Medford Transcript.
School Committee member Michael Ruggiero said Edouard-Vincent's experience and the fact that other systems were looking at hiring her factored into the approval of a higher salary, the Transcript reported. The Medford native and network superintendent for the Boston Public Schools was selected in May to succeed Belson, who will retire at the end of June after two decades.
Edouard-Vincent has been a part of the Boston school system for 24 years.
