Medford Target Announced

A "small-format" Target location is scheduled to open in March in Medford Plaza.

MEDFORD, MA — Target is opening a small-format store in the Medford Plaza, the company announced Tuesday morning. The 32,000-square-foot store will replace the Stop & Shop and is scheduled to open in March, bringing "several dozen" jobs with it.

Target signed a lease with The Grossman Companies for the new location. The store will be the company's 33rd location in the Boston area and the company's sixth small-format location around, joining Fenway, Packard’s Corner, Central Square, Stoneham Redstone Plaza and a Roslindale location scheduled to open in March.
