MEDFORD, MA - Don't freak out if your water looks a little funky this week.

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be isolating a water main in Medford to replace a valve on Mystic Ave. on Monday. A small amount of iron in local pipes may discolor the water for up to three days after.

No disruption to the water service is expected. The MWRA notes that iron will stain light-colored laundry items, particularly when paired with bleach.

Running the water is a way to clear out the iron.
