Medford Will Take Your Drugs

The city will take part in National Drug Take Back Day April 28.

MEDFORD, MA – The Medford Police Department and the Board of Health will participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 28. The event provides a safe, convenient and responsible way of disposing of prescription drugs.

Residents will be able to dispose of unused or expired medication at the Medford City Hall rear parking lot, 85 George P. Hassett Dr., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The following items may be turned in:

  • pills
  • tablets
  • capsules
  • cough medicines
  • other medications

The following items may not be disposed of:

  • needles/syringes
  • medical devices (IV bags, home infusion items)
  • thermometers
  • medical instruments

The event is only for residents and is not available to doctors' or veterinarians' offices.
