Obituary: Ann 'Annie B.' Balian, Lifelong Medford Resident

Ann M. “Annie B.” (Donahue) Balian, 76, of Medford, died Tuesday after a long illness in the Bear Hill Nursing Center, Stoneham.

Ann was a lifelong resident of Medford. She was the daughter of the late Marie (Babin) and Peter Donahue. Ann was an Administrative Assistant with Mellon Trust in Medford for 25 years and retired in 1989.

Devoted mother of David P. Balian and his fiancée Ann Marie LeBlanc of Medford, Lynne M. Balian of Boca Raton, Florida, and Steven J. Balian of Stoneham. Loving grandmother of David, Danny, Zafer, Spencer, Trent and Evan. Sister of Jeanne Gear of Malden, Eddie Donahue of Arizona, Marylou DeBenedictis of Medford, Tom Donahue of North Carolina, Leo Donahue of Brimfield, Joyce McGahey of Everett, Joe Donahue and Debbie Falco, both of Medford.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Ann’s name to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
