Obituary: Denise McCool, Medford Native

Denise E. McCool died peacefully at Merrimac Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Monday, Dec. 30.

Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Edith (Sharillo) Wallerce. Denise lived for many years in Woburn, working as a secretary at the law firm of Brody Hardoon Perkins & Kesten in Boston.

She was the beloved mother of Melanie Bergstrom of Derry, N.H., and her fiancé Jonathan Mangion, Kelli McCool of Malden and her fiancé John Reid and Patrick McCool of Woburn. Denise was the loving grandmother of Riley, Mackenzie and Liliah. She was the sister of Marc Wallerce and his wife Sherry of Winthrop, Alan Wallerce and his wife Susan and Kenneth Wallerce, all of Medford.

A funeral service will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private.
