Obituary: Diane Rossetti, Longtime Medford Resident

Rossetti died Wednesday, Dec. 24. She was 77.

Diane M. Rossetti passed away peacefully at the Aberjona Nursing Center on Christmas Eve. She was 77.

Born and raised in Boston’s West End, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elena (Christopher) DeCristoforo. Diane was a graduate of Medford High and lived in Medford for nearly 60 years. She married Anthony J. “Russ” J. Rossetti 59 years ago, and together they raised their family. A loving and devoted wife and mother, Diane was active at St. Joseph Parish and served as president on more than one occasion of the Mother’s Club.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her devoted children: Linda Iacabone and her husband Roger of Medford and Anthony Rossetti and his wife Tina of North Andover. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Roger Iacabone and also leaves her brother Benjamin DeCristoforo.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning, Dec. 27, at 9 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Diane’s name to the Aberjona Nursing Home, 184 Swanton St., Winchester, MA 01890, or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 800 West Cummings Park, Suite 3100, Woburn, MA 01801.
