Obituary: Janet Vecchiarello, Longtime Medford Resident

Vecchiarello died Tuesday, Jan. 20. She was 79.

Janet M. (Palise) Vecchiarello passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. She was 79.

Janet was a longtime resident of Medford. She worked for many years at Shore Pharmacy in Medford as a cashier and was a longtime volunteer of Saint Raphael’s Bingo.

Janet was the devoted wife of the late Leo Vecchiarello Jr. She was the beloved mother of Leo Vecchiarello III and his wife Lylette of Danvers. Janet was the sister of Carole Vollman Mahler and her husband Elliot, Nancy Roberts and her husband Stephen and Ronald Palise. She was the cherished grandmother of Jordan, Lynda-Rose and Victoria Vecchiarello.

Visitation will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main St., Malden, on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 9-11 a.m. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
