Obituary: Margaret 'Peggy' McGillivray, 58, Medford Native
McGillivray died Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Margaret A. “Peggy” McGillivray (Leone) passed away at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was 58.
Raised in Medford where she lived most of her life, Peggy lived in Attleboro for the past 10 years. A loving and caring person, she worked for many years at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital caring for patients with compassion and respect. She enjoyed music, board games and the company of her many friends and loving family. She was devoted to her children and with her selfless generosity continued to be a good mother, sister, daughter and friend even in the midst of her difficult illness.

The loving mother of Billy McGillivray of Pawtucket, Elizabeth McGillivray of East Boston, Theresa McGillivray of Medford, she was the cherished daughter of Angelo Leone of Medford and the late Theresa (DeNunzio) Leone. She was a devoted sister of Mary Ellen Santangelo and her husband Ray of Woburn and the late David Leone. The former wife of Andrew McGillivray of East Boston, Peggy also leaves her pet dog Jango.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 9 – 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at noon. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
