Obituary: Marilyn B. Rose, 57

Rose died Sunday, Nov. 24.

The following is from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home.

Marilyn B. Rose, lovingly known as "Mar," a resident of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Medford, and beloved life partner of Tamara “Tammy” Hayton, passed at her former family home in Medford unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. She was 57.

Born in Woburn, on Jan. 14, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of Mary F. (Turner) (married to Dieter G Hubert) currently of North Carolina, and the late George W. Rose Sr. Marilyn was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of '74 and after high school she attended Salem State College in Salem. She was employed with the federal government for more than 30 years with OSHA, the IRS and, for last 25 years, as an Information Technology Specialist of the U.S. Attorney's Office, Middle District of Florida, from where she retired in 2011.

Marilyn was loved by everyone who’s life she touched. Her legacy is LOVE.

She had a guiding light of selfless spirit, which she gave to many. Each of us who loved her will be forever missing the impact of the happiness we knew because of Marilyn in our lives.

Beside her beloved life partner, Tammy, and her loving mother, Mary, she will be inconsolably missed by her siblings: Maureen Rose of Derry, N.H., Sharon Rose Thornton and her husband Walter of Holliston, Carol Rose-Camelio and her husband Alexander of Lexington, Donna Rose Geary and her husband Robert of Medford, Charles Rose and his wife Nancy of Billerica, Judith Rose DiRusso of Tewksbury and sister-in-law Paula Rose of Pepperell. She was also the beloved sister of the late George Rose Jr. and Kenneth Rose with whom she is now reunited. Also survived by brother-in-laws Tracy Saylor and his wife Monica of Cape Coral, Fla., Thomas Saylor, Timothy Saylor and Ted Saylor and his wife Tanya, all of Indianapolis. Sister-in-law Teresa Beasley and her husband Steven of Mooresville, Ind. She is also survived by multi generations of cherished nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in the celebration of our beloved Marilyn's life. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave., Medford. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at 9 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery with her dad and brothers.
