Obituary: Michael Cox, 39, Formerly of Medford

Michael Cox, 39 of Revere, died Sunday after a long illness in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Born in Malden, he lived in Revere for the past 12 years and formerly of Medford. Michael was a clerical clerk, employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the past 9 years.

Devoted father of Tina Marie Cox of Woburn. Cherished son of Loretta (Chiarenza) and Michael J. Cox of Revere. Loving grandson of Concetta “Tina” Chiarenza of Medford. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Former husband of Roberta (Tarlson).

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 11AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers.
