Obituary: Nancy Rennie, 58, Lifelong Medford Resident

Rennie died suddenly Friday, April 25.

Nancy J. Rennie, 58, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 25, 2014.

She was born in Medford on Aug. 17, 1955. Nancy has been a lifelong resident of Medford and is a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1974. For over 20 years, she worked in the billing department at Agility Orthopedics in Stoneham. Nancy was also previously employed by AT&T and by the Lawrence Memorial Hospital where she worked as switchboard operator.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and had a deep appreciation for music. Nancy spent the summer months in Wells, Maine, for many years. First and foremost, she was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is the beloved wife of Charles M. Rennie; the loving mother of Melissa Jean Rennie and Lindsay Marie Rennie, both of Medford; the cherished daughter of John Brogan of Medford and the late Norma (Shannon) Brogan; the dear sister of Susan Rumley and her husband Mark of Medford, Margaret Giallanella and her husband Ralph of Dracut, Judy Vellucci and her husband Joe of Malden, James Brogan and his wife Anne of Medford and John Brogan and his wife Lisa of Beverly; and the loving Godmother of Erin, Rachael and Sean. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden, on Thursday, May 1, at 10 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 30, from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Parish, 10 Fellsway East, Malden, MA 02148.
