One Medford Day Continues This Weekend

The Medford softball team supports the memory of Boston Marathon bombing victim and Medford High alum Krystle Campbell.

MEDFORD - One Medford Day continues this weekend, as the Krystle Campbell Memorial Softball Tournament takes place.

The games are starting Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Columbus Park. The Medford softball team participates in a tournament with Billerica, Arlington Catholic, and Swampcott.

Medford High alum Campbell died in the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013. She was 29. Since then, the school's softball team has honored the former player on One Medford Day. All proceeds support the Krystle Campbell scholarship at Medford High.

This year, Campbell's initials are imprinted on the the new MHS Softball uniforms.
