Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Medford

MEDFORD, MA – State police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in Medford early Sunday morning.

At 5:38 a.m. on Sunday, troopers responded to Rt. 16 westbound ahead of Wellington Circle for a report of a pedestrian struck with serious life-threatening injuries, police said.

The man, who has not been identified, was hit by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are currently investigating the crash; no description of the vehicle is available at this time.
