The Porch-Southern Fare Opening 'Larger' Restaurant In Medford

MEDFORD, MA – Hope you like southern cookin', Medford. The Porch-Southern Fare in Wakefield is expanding, and the new Medford location will be "much larger" than the original, according to Eater Boston. The southern food and live music hotspot will seat 120-150 customers, and offer patio and sidewalk seating during seasonal months.

Inside there will be a bar, lounge area, live music space and at least one pool table, owner Jonathan Post told Eater. The Nashville native promises contemporary southern music, not "mainstream country music, or similar garbage."

The new restaurant will be located at 100 Rivers Edge Dr., down the street from the Wellington T stop. Post is eyeing a summer opening date, potentially as soon as July.
