The Porch Is Still Coming To Medford

MEDFORD, MA – A southern food and live music hotspot that closed in Wakefield earlier this year is still on its way to Medford. Boston Restaurant Talk first reported the news, citing a recent Facebook post by The Porch-Southern Fare owner Jonathan Post stating that construction has not yet started but it "should be complete" by next spring.

The restaurant will include live music, a bar and cocktail lounge, pool tables, a private dining room and outdoor seating, Post told Boston Restaurant Talk earlier this year. The Porch closed in Wakefield in June and was originally expected to open in Medford in the fall.

Post told Patch the building inspector at River's Edge approved the restaurant's plans last week and the team projects a spring 2019 opening.
