Rat Problem in the Medford Hillside?

Medford Hillside resident Hendrik Gideonse recently posted on Medford Patch about the area’s rat problem.

The 17-year resident said he hadn’t noticed the problem until this past winter – and it’s gotten worse since then.

“I regularly see rats during the day crossing the road, running along the sides of buildings, looking for food on porches and digging through compost bins,” Gideonse wrote.

Gideonse said he hasn’t had any luck with traps and he doesn’t want to use poison because of his toddler and garden. He said he’s received no help from the city.
