Residents Sound Off on Council Meeting
Those who watched Tuesday's brief, tense meeting are not pleased with the council's actions.

Locals have taken to Medford Patch as well as our social media platforms to voice their displeasure about Tuesday night's aborted Medford City Council meeting.
After the possibility was raised about conflicts of interest for councilors voting for themselves for council president and vice president, the meeting was stopped after a debate-halting motion was invoked on both votes by Councilor Robert Penta.
The council will attempt to conduct Tuesday's business at a special meeting Thursday.

On Medford Patch's Facebook page, reader Alysia Tardelli Rourke called the council's actions "an embarrassment to our city. Enough is enough with these childish tactics!"
She later wrote: "Simply put, I would be embarrassed to bring my 4th grader to a city council meeting as a means of showing him how local governing bodies worked."
On Twitter, reader @mkaj24 tweeted at us: "does it get more embarrassing than that? Sounded like a bunch of 3rd graders."
