Arlington Bank Robbery Suspect Sought By Police

Police say the man fled toward Medford after robbing Winchester Savings Bank Tuesday.

ARLINGTON, MA – Arlington police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in a robbery at Winchester Savings Bank Tuesday.

The man allegedly walked into the bank around 2:40 p.m. and showed a teller a note demanding money. He was given an unspecified amount of cash and fled toward Maynard Street, police said.

The suspect is in his late 30s or early 40s and wore a black Boston Bruins hooded sweatshirt, heart-shaped glasses and a baseball cap, according to police.

"We will utilize all assets at our disposal to hold the suspect responsible for this brazen robbery in our community," Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan said. "If anyone heard or saw anything out of the ordinary this afternoon, I strongly urge them to contact police."
