'Shnurble' Food Truck Now in Medford 7 Days a Week

Fred's Franks, a Wakefield favorite, is also planning to open a second location back in Wakefield, where it began.

Fred’s Franks, a food truck known for its “shnurble” sandwiches, will now be parked in the Hyatt Place parking lot in Medford Square seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (weather permitting), according to its Facebook page.

The truck, which started in Wakefield, is planning to open a second location back in Wakefield – once “all the logistics are ironed out,” according to the Facebook page. Fred Frank’s said the new location in Wakefield might be a “permanent structure, open all year.”

A shnurble sandwich consists of a “hot dog and chourico on a bed of our home made sweet cabbage, mayo and topped with our House Sirachababa sauce,” according to Fred Frank’s website. Fred’s Franks also sells hot dogs, chouricos, kielbasas, linguicas, andouilles, burgers, bratwursts and sausages.

The Hyatt Place in Medford Square is at 116 Riverside Ave.
