Medford Whole Foods Supports Chevalier Theatre
Whole Foods will donate 5% of sales on January 13 to the Friends of Chevalier Auditorium and Gene Mack Gym.

Friends of Chevalier Auditorium and Gene Mack Gym is thrilled to announce its selection as the recipient organization for the year’s first “5% Day” at Whole Foods Market Medford!
On Wednesday, January 13, Whole Foods will donate 5% of all sales to Friends of Chevalier, a nonprofit organization that fosters financial and community support for Chevalier Theatre and the Medford Boys & Girls Club, located in the Gene Mack Gym below the theater.
Over the past 22 years, through fundraising efforts and hands-on volunteering, Friends of Chevalier has performed or paid for physical improvements to the facilities; sponsored free community concerts and other fundraising events at the theatre; worked with the mayor and City Council to bring the youth center to fruition in 2001; and obtained a $100,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation for the Boys & Girls Club.

For 2015-16, among new programs being supported financially by the Friends are the popular OnStage! concert series at Chevalier, and What’s In A Name?, a movement and choreography program at the Boys & Girls Club taught by the local award-winning dance and choreography company Monkeyhouse.
Shopping at the Medford Whole Foods Market on January 13 will help support these and other Friends initiatives to enrich the quality of life in Medford through promotion of cultural, theatrical, civic, and youth programs.
