Skerry Named New Boys Hoops Coach at Medford High
John Skerry, a lifelong resident of Medford, was introduced as the school's new basketball coach on Thursday.

John Skerry is set to take over as the new coach of Medford High School’s boys basketball team, the school announced Thursday.
Skerry is a longtime Medford resident as he grew up in the city. He played basketball locally at Malden Catholic and then at Tufts University. Skerry has a Master’s degree in education from Tufts.

Additionally, Skerry has experience coaching as an assistant at Tufts and Suffolk University.
“John is a perfect fit for Medford High School,” said Athletic Director Robert Maloney. “He is a homegrown kid who has played at both the high school and collegiate level and comes from a great family basketball gene pool.”
