Somerville Man Charged With 2 Armed Robberies In Medford

MEDFORD, MA — A Somerville man was arrested Monday and charged with two armed robberies in Medford. Police said the victims were lured to Hawthorne Street on the online sales apps Offer Up and Letgo under the guise of selling them a cellphone. They were then robbed at gunpoint, according to police.

The robberies happened July 10 and July 21. Rydjoechy Saturne, 19, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime and one count each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Investigators believe other people were involved in the robberies. Saturne was arrested at his home in Somerville, where officers found evidence of the robberies, police said.
