Stephanie Burke Announces Candidacy For Mayor

Burke - Medford's current Director of Personnel and Budget, previously served on the City Council for 16 years.

In light of the announcement that Mayor Michael McGlynn plans to step down after more than 20 years on the job, Stephanie Burke, Medford’s current director of personnel and budget, formerly announced her candidacy Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement to the media, Burke cited her 16 years on the Medford City Council prior to her current position, and great affection for her longtime city of residency as noteworthy credentials.

“Of all my life experiences, Medford has been the common theme, and it is because of this that I am excited to announce that I am a candidate for mayor of this city that I owe so much to,” she said.
