Tequila Bar Coming To Medford Square

MEDFORD, MA – A new Mexican restaurant is on its way to Medford, backed by a couple of familiar faces. Alvaro and Andres Sandoval, co-owners of Tenoch in Medford, Somerville and Boston, will open El Tacuba Cocina & Tequila Bar in Medford Square, according to reports.

Alvaro Sandoval told Eater Boston there is no word yet on an opening date, but a website for El Tacuba says it is coming this year. It will differ from Tenoch's fast-casual layout and be a full-service restaurant, Eater reported.

Sandoval said he and his brother plan to offer a varied selection of tequila, mezcal and local craft beers. The address for El Tacuba Cocina & Tequila Bar is 35 Salem St.
