Tufts Sports Notes: Men's Basketball Trounces Lesley, Loses to Keene State

The Tufts men's basketball team split a pair of games this week while the women's team improved to 3-1.

The Tufts University men's basketball team picked up a lopsided win over Lesley University at home on Tuesday as all 13 players scored in an 86-39 non-conference win, but the Jumbos fell to Keene State, 86-64, on the road on Thursday.

While the offense was impressive in the win, the defense had a historic performance, allowing the fewest points since 1957 when Tufts held Wesleyan to 36 points.

Sophomore Scott Anderson led the Jumbos (2-2) on Tuesday with 18 points, while Sophomore Alex Goldfarb had 13 and Andrew Dowton and freshman Tom Folliard each had nine points. Senior Sam Mason played well all around, picking up eight points, five rebounds and four assists with junior James Long finishing with seven rebounds.
