Tufts Student Wakes to Strange Man in Her Room
Tufts released a statement Sunday regarding an incident that occurred in a Wren Hall dorm room Saturday morning.

MEDFORD, MA—The Tufts University community is now on high alert as an unidentified man broke in to a Wren Hall dorm room Saturday morning.
The university released a statement Sunday, stating that a female student awoke to an unknown male rubbing her arm in her bedroom. The Tufts police department is actively investigating the situation, but was not able to find the suspect, according to the statement.

The suspect was described by the victim as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall with short black hair and wearing a dark shirt. The suspect was not located and TUPD is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information to share about this or similar incidents should contact TUPD at 617-627-3030.
Tufts University deplores and condemns such acts, and victims/survivors of crimes are never at fault for crimes that happen to them. Those who commit such crimes are fully responsible for those acts. With that in mind, the following information is provided to help and support you:
TUPD and Residential Life would like to remind all residents to keep their living quarters secured at all times while sleeping and when leaving living quarters unattended.

- In the event that you observe anyone believed to be a non-resident attempting to gain access into a residence hall without a host
- In the event that you observe anyone within the common areas of residence halls who appears not to belong to the residence hall community and who is unaccompanied by a residence hall host
