Volunteers Give Medford High School A Makeover
A group of volunteers led by Bill Carr, Larry White and Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn helped beautify parts of Medford High School last month.
MEDFORD, MA — Volunteers from across Medford, led by residents Bill Carr, Larry White and Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, helped beautify the lobby, benches and classrooms of Medford High School Feb. 23. The group sanded and painted parts of the school that needed work.
"This was a perfect example of what makes Medford special – a close knit community that takes the time to roll up their sleeves and do the work to give our kids a bright, inviting place to come every day," Mayor Lungo-Koehn said in a statement. "I am so thankful for the efforts of every volunteer who took the time out of their busy lives to give back and especially grateful for the hard work of Bill Carr and Larry White in pulling this all together."
In addition to the time donated by volunteers, supplies and materials were donated by local businesses, including Magnificent Muffins, Modern Hardware, Select Paint and Finishes, Lou and John Intoppa of Intoppa Painting, John McLaughlin and staff and Red's Painting.
