A woman was pulled from the water at a Medford pond after nearly drowning Wednesday, officials confirm.

The woman, 68, was enjoying the sunny day down by Wright’s Pond when she nearly drowned. An attentive 12-year-old noticed the troubled woman and immediately alerted a lifeguard.

“She went under water for a good minute or two and I know most people can’t hold their breath for that long. Then I saw bubbles blowing, I know that’s usually not a good sign,” Deion DeGraca told FOX25 News.
