MEDFORD, MA – Wynn Resorts is spending more than $264 million to fund improvements in Medford, Revere, Everett, Boston and Chelsea ahead of the opening of its $2 billion resort and casino in Everett. The company said all work is privately funded and will not use public or taxpayer funds.
The most significant work will take place within the "Mystic Mile," a one-mile stretch of road in the lower Mystic River watershed area consisting of Sullivan Square, Rt. 99/Lower Broadway, Sweetster Circle and Wellington Circle.

$58 million for road improvements
$11 million for Sullivan Square improvements prior to the 2019 opening of Wynn Boston Harbor, and $25 million to support a long-term solution for Sullivan Square in the City of Boston
$206 million for transportation demand management
Improvements to the Wellington and Malden MBTA stations to accommodate Wynn shuttles, land and water shuttle operating costs for Wynn guests and employees, funding for a study of a planned pedestrian bridge across the Mystic River and payments to the MBTA to subsidize Orange Line operations
