• Melrose Water Main Projects Expected To Affect Two Neighborhoods (patch.com) — Melrose residents on Grove and Ash streets are being warned to expect short water shutoffs, traffic delays, and parking restrictions as the city replaces aging water mains and service lines in their neighborhoods. Temporary paving will follow this year's construction, with full curb-to-curb repaving and sidewalk restoration planned for 2027, and a DPW inspector on site to answer residents' questions.

(patch.com) — Melrose families are invited to enjoy free ice cream sundaes at Dunton Park on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 2–4 p.m., with a short ceremony at 3 p.m. Faith Evangelical Church and A Servant's Heart Food Pantry are thanking the greater Melrose community for 30 years of support and service, and everyone is welcome, whether or not you live in Melrose.
   

• Elaine Eaton McCoy (thecricket.com) — Melrose is remembered as an important part of Elaine Eaton McCoy's life, where she grew up and graduated from Melrose High before building a beloved consignment business in Manchester-by-the-Sea. The obituary reflects on her creativity, humor, generosity, and the lasting success of The Stock Exchange, which continues 51 years after she founded it.
