A Plus Tutoring, the only learning center in Melrose that provides tutoring and test preparation, has a brand new look this year.
New location, new programs, new Web site.
A Plus, which is run by Melrose resident Cathy Scarlatos, a former teacher in public and private school systems, has moved to the center of town. The new location is 6 Eastman Place, Suite 4, just off Main Street by Starbucks. The facility offers convenience, a modern classroom and much more space.

The increased amount of room has enabled A Plus Tutoring (www.aplustutoringservices.net) to expand its program offerings. The center now provides one-to-one classroom tutoring for elementary and middle school students in addition to continuing its popular in-home tutoring.
Preparation classes for the SAT and other academic exams begin this month (see the Web site for a schedule).

Additional services include English as a Second Language, GED (high school equivalency), study and organization skills, and programs for challenged individuals. Services are available for students of all ages (K-adult) and in all subjects, including languages and test preparation.
“I am very excited about new location,” said Scarlatos, who opened A Plus Tutoring in 2006 at another Melrose location. “We can serve more students and offer better programs.”
