MELROSE, MA — A local Girl Scout troop teamed up with seniors to conduct a community-building art project.
Melrose Troop 66716 paid a visit to The Residence at Melrose Station on 158 Essex St. to paint "kindness rocks" with the residents of the facility. The creations were decorated with messages of hope and encouragement and were placed in both the residence's garden and around the city.
“A simple rock can brighten someone’s entire day, and this group is doing just that,” Resident Engagement Director at The Residence at Melrose Station Madison Sanborne said. “Moments like these show that small acts can have a big impact.”
