The Angel Fund for ALS Research selected as Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program beneficiary
The Angel Fund nonprofit receives great honor and fundraising opportunity The Angel Fund for ALS Research, a nonprofit organization which benefits ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) research at the Cecil B. Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of July. This exciting program has been designed to support local nonprofits like The Angel Fund for ALS Research. For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma messaging purchased at the Saugus Hannaford location at 357 Broadway, The Angel Fund for ALS Research will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission of finding a cure for ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. ALS is a progressive, always fatal neuromuscular disease. “We are excited to be selected as the beneficiary of this program for the month of July,” Rich Kennedy, President of The Angel Fund for ALS Research said. “The Angel Fund for ALS Research is grateful to Hannaford’s Saugus store for their efforts in helping find a cure for this disease.” The Angel Fund has a goal of raising $1,000 during July as a beneficiary of the program, which is equivalent to 1,000 bags bought in support of the cause. The Angel Fund plans to use the projected funds to fund ALS research, in order further carry out its mission of finding a cure for ALS.
