Joe Mulholland, a long-time Melrose resident, will be kicking off his fourth album, "Unspoken", at Corinthian Hall on June 8, 2012 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. The CD is a collection of original jazz compositions performed by his longstanding trio of ten years, with a guest saxophonist on two tracks. The quartet on the CD and at the concert includes Joe Mulholland, piano; Bob Nieske, bass; Bob Tamagni, drums and Allan Chase, saxophone. The music on "Unspoken" is jazz songs without words: ballads, blues, Latin and straight-ahead jazz. Tickets can be purchased at the door: $20 buys admission to the show and includes a free CD. Admission only without the CD is $10.
Joe is the Chair of the Harmony Department at Berklee College. Many of you may have heard Joe play with the Trio at The Top of the Hub in Boston, or closer to home at Melrose Jazzfest in Memorial Hall and the Jazz Cabaret events at Temple Shalom.
