Travel to different countries. Enjoy cultural performances. Sample international foods. All of this and more without getting on an airplane at the Melrose World Cultures Festival on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Memorial Hall, 590 Main Street. Open to the public from 5:00 - 8:00 PM; free admission. Memorial Hall will be filled with presentations and food from local restaurants representing the rich cultural diversity that exists here in our community. Come to discover and learn about the traditions and celebrations from over a dozen countries including Brazil, Greece, Ireland, Italy, India, Turkey, Sweden and more. This event is organized by the Melrose Public Elementary Schools and parents and is supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council. For more information please call 781-572-2485.
