Grand Jury Indictments Announced: 1 Melrose Case Included

MELROSE, MA—Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced multiple Grand Jury indictments Monday. The city is one of a few communities with just one Grand Jury Indictment.

However, the alleged crime is particularly shocking. Here is the rundown of the charge from the Middlesex District Attorney’s office:

• Walter Esteras, 27, of Melrose, was charged with rape of a child by force (2 counts), aggravated rape of a child (2 counts), and indecent assault and battery on a person under the age of 14 (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni.
