The work on West Foster St. completes a long stretch of new concrete sidewalks.

The MBTA spent time Wednesday repairing pedestrian safety hazards in Melrose, Mayor Robert Dolan said.
The work was done on West Foster Street at Berwick Street in the area leading up to the track. Dolan said it has "long been a series of trip hazards in the area leading up to the track and over them."
The MBTA was repaving the sidewalk area and removing trip hazards, completing the stretch of new concrete sidewalks from the Milano Center and senior housing buildings to the downtown business district.
