Melrose Family YMCA Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Melrose Family YMCA Celebrates Lobby Renovation at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony November 24, 2015
On behalf of the Melrose Cooperative Bank, the Melrose Family YMCA was able to undergo a beautiful lobby renovation project. To better meet the needs of the community and the Melrose Y’s valued members, the Melrose Cooperative Bank generously made a donation of $7,000.00, which covered the total cost of the renovation.
The Melrose Family YMCA serves over 8,000 men, women and children annually. Through the Melrose Cooperative Bank’s donation, the Melrose Y was able to improve a few cosmetic details in their lobby. With a fresh coat of paint, energy efficient lighting and modern flooring, the Melrose Y can give the community a more inviting space to gather with their friends and family. The foundations of the YMCA are to strengthen the community by supporting the development of youth, improving healthy living and educating neighbors about social responsibility.
The bright and inviting improvements of the Melrose Y’s lobby also features a history display, which exhibits the evolution of the Melrose Family YMCA within the community of Melrose since it’s conception in 1890. The Melrose Family YMCA is extremely grateful for this generous opportunity as they continue to be committed to the community of Melrose.
