Melrose is reaching out to those struggling with a sometimes silent battle.

Melrose is reaching out to those struggling with a sometimes silent battle.
The city is launching a new program "to help residents who are looking for help dealing with mental health issues, including depression, an eating disorder, addiction, or even suicidal thoughts," a post from the Melrose website says.
To help, Melrose has contracted with InterFace, "a referral service that helps connect people with the help they need for themselves or their children."

It works like this: Call the InterFace Helpine at 617-332-3666, ext. 1411, or 1-888-244-6842, ext. 1411, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. to connect with a mental health professional. That person will listen and provide you with resources, then follow up.
