MELROSE, MA—Here are some excerpts from the Melrose Police Logs from April 18-April 20.

April 18:

3:56 p.m.: Police responded to a restraining order violation on Boardman Ave.

5:15 p.m.: A caller reported damage to his car while it was parked on Mount Vernon St.

7:32 p.m.: Police responded to a report of an assault at 28 Warwick Rd.

April 19:

9:52 a.m.: East Middlesex Mosquito Control reported that they will have a low-flying helicopter in the area starting at 10 a.m.

12:18 p.m.: Police responded to reports of a work crew interfering with traffic.

5:18 p.m.: Police responded to a report of a dog in a car. The owner of the car and the dog left the area prior to police arrival.

6:50 p.m.: Police responded to reports of two loud explosions in the area, multiple reports came in from the surrounding streets with reports of explosions and gunfire. However, police determined that the reports were unfounded.

April 20:

7:52 a.m.: Police received a 9-1-1 call with several people yelling and the background and hearing things being smashed.

10:46 a.m.: Police received a report from a Doctor's office that a patient had accidentally locked a two-year-old in a car. Entry was made into the vehicle and the child was okay.
