Melrose Police Logs: Man Approaches Younger Girl, Malicious Destruction of Property

MELROSE, MA—Below are excerpts from the Melrose police logs from April 4-7.

April 4:

8:24 p.m.: Police transported a male prisoner to Malden District Court.

8:42 p.m.: Police arrested Eric Brown, 47, of Saugus for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

12:41 p.m.: Police responded to a car accident involving two vehicles. A female party was transported to the hospital, and one vehicle was towed.

6:04 p.m.: Police received several 911 calls about a gray Ford driving with the passenger door open and a party trying to exit.

April 5:

3:04 p.m.: Police responded to a man that had wandered away from Golden Living Center. He was transported back to the facility.

3:56 p.m.: Police arrested Daniel Walsh, 19, of Melrose for the malicious destruction of property over $250 and threats to commit a crime.

April 6:

1:57 p.m.: Police responded to reports of a female being dragged down the street by a male in the area of Glen Ave. and Linwood Ave. . Police located the parties, but did not report any arrests.

2:23 p.m.: A caller reported that she was approached by a male who was drinking a beer in his vehicle who stated " I'm 38 and I like younger girls" in the area of Melrose Middle School. The caller was leaving the Knoll at the time and the vehicle was behind her. No record was found on the vehicle, and it was gone at the time of arrival.

April 7:

11:14 a.m.: Police responded to the area of Goodyear Ave. after reports of a party living in a tent int the woods. The party was trespassing and was sent on their way.

3:19 p.m.: Police arrested Stephen Russel Pierce, 61, who is homeless due to a warrant out for his arrest after a suspicious back pack was left at City Hall.

7:17 p.m.: Police responded to Melrose Middle School after reports of a break-in to the girls locker room at Melrose Middle School.
