Melrose Police Logs: Vehicle Stolen from Driveway, Destruction of Property

MELROSE, MA—Here are some excerpts from Melrose Police Logs.

March 18:

4:01 a.m.: Police responded to Adams Street after a motor vehicle was stolen from a driveway.

6:31 p.m.: A caller reported a hit and run that occurred on First St.

9:53 p.m.: Police received several 911 calls of a road rage incident.

March 19:

12:27 p.m.: A caller reported a male party who appeared to be under the influence and harassing pedestrians. Police spoke to the party and he was waiting for the bus. No further problems reported.

5:24 p.m.: A caller reported a car full of kids smoking behind the Hoover School.

March 20:

2:56 p.m.: Police received reports of suspicious activity at 70 Whitman Avenue. The reports indicated that cars would pull up to the house and enter, then leave after just a short time. All parties were using the basement door. Police responded, and the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

6:37 p.m.: Police received reports of two male parties trying to break into a house. The caller reported that the males were looking into the front windows of the house before jumping the fence and look into the rear windows. It appeared that the parties were two young kids who had kicked a ball from a neighboring yard.

8:01: Police arrested Melissa Jean Angel, 45, of Melrose for destruction of property over $250.
