Melrose Police Logs: Verizon Strikers, Suspicious Suitcases

MELROSE, MA—Here are some excerpts from the Melrose Police Logs from April 14-17.

April 14:
9:04 a.m.: Units responded to Melrose High School due to a bomb threat.

12:06 p.m.: Police received reports of a suspicious suitcase, they believe it belongs to a homeless party.

April 15:

08:40 a.m.: Atlantic recovery repossessed a vehicle out of Melrose Towers Condominiums

3:37 p.m.: A verizon worker called for assistance with her van being blocked by striking co-workers on chipman ave.

9:56 p.m.: Police responded to several calls for kids running through back yards on forest st. The group was broken up and sent on their way.

April 16:

Police arrested Jeffory Stewart Blanchard, 41, of Melrose and Katherine White, 41, of Melrose on assault and battery charges.
