Melrose Residents: Celebrate Winter With the City

MELROSE, MA—Did you stay in Melrose during this February break week? Do you need to get out of the house?

Well, the City of Melrose wants you to come celebrate the winter season at its Winter Festival on Thursday. The festival will run from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at the Mount Hood Golf Course, Clubhouse and Mount Hood Memorial Park. Entry is free and the festival is open to all ages.

The festival will feature games, activities, entertainment, music, face painting, ice skating (weather permitting), show shoeing, trail waking, train rides, s’mores, hot cocoa and a free barbecue.

Melrose Incarnation Church on Upham street will host parking for the event. There will be a shuttle service from 12 to 2:30. No parking is allowed at Mount Hood for the event, but drop off will be allowed.
