@9:51 a.m.: Police called to Lake Avenue for a report of a past breaking and entering. A report was taken.

@10:47 a.m.: Police responded to Laurel Street on a report of a larceny, forgery or fraud. A report was taken.

@7:20 p.m.: Police called to Lynde Street for a report of kids setting off fireworks. A report was taken.

@7:22 p.m.: Police responded to Chipman Avenue on a report of fireworks. A report was taken.

@9:18 p.m.: Police called to Hurd Street for a report of people fighting in the street. Justeen Doherty, 19, of 171 Broadway, Everett, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery on a police officer.

Sept. 4

@8:17 a.m.: Police responded to Upham Street at Dell Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.

@9:45 a.m.: Police called to on Main Street for a report of a person trying to cash a bad check. A report was taken.

@2:34 p.m.: Police responded to Melrose Street at Auburn Street for a report of a two-car accident. Parties exchanged insurance paperwork. 

@6:23 p.m.: Police called to Lynn Fells Parkway at Melrose Street for a report of a motor vehicle acccident. State Police handled the accident and two vehicles were towed, and a pole was damaged during the accident, according to police. 

@9:58 p.m.: Police responded to Farwell Avenue on a report of an injured cat. The cat was picked up by animal control and taken to a Woburn vet, according to police.

Sept. 5

@5:55 p.m.: Police called to Whittier Street at West Wyoming Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.

Sept. 6

@9:11 a.m.: Police received a walk-in report of a missing person from a West Wyoming Avenue location. A report was taken.

@1:18 p.m.: Police called to the on First Street for a report of vandalism. The caller reported graffiti in the school yard. A report was taken.

@4:18 p.m.: Police responded to Tremont Street at Lynn Fells Parkway for a report of a motor vehicle accident. State Police handled the investigation.

@6:07 p.m.: Police called to the Main and Corey Streets area on a report of a dead possum. DPW notified.

Sept. 7

@3:20 p.m.: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Upham Street at Bellevue Avenue. Miguel Angel Rios-Miguel, 27, of 26 Oakland St., Melrose, was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

@3:50 p.m.: Police called to the Winthrop School for a report of vandalism. A report was taken.

Sept. 8

@4:19 a.m.: Police responded to the area for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One vehicle was towed, while one was left behind. Several cars struck in the lot, according to police. A report was taken.

@8:30 a.m.: Police called to Warwick Road at Vinton Street on a report of a motor vehicle accident. A report was taken.

@1:26 p.m.: Police responded to Washington Street on a report of a larceny or fraud. A report was taken.

@3:14 p.m.: Police called to Charles Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A truck hit a utility pole, according to police. No injuries reported.

@3:52 p.m.: Police responded to Main Street at Bay State Road for a report of a two-car accident. A report was taken.

@6:50 a.m.: Police called to the Highlands depot for a report of a man allegedly tipping over trash cans. The call went unfounded.

@10:49 a.m.: Police called to West Wyoming Avenue at Hurd Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Insurance paperwork exchanged following minor motor vehicle accident.
