STONEHAM—Approximately 50 residents of the 5th Middlesex District, which includes Melrose, voiced their concerns to officials at a public forum regarding issues facing our senior citizens.
Questions were raised regarding consumer protection, dementia care and social security issues at the Stoneham Senior Center Monday. The forum was a part of Senator Jason Lewis’ Community Conversations series.
“From an increase in our population of individuals living with dementia to telephone scams targeting senior citizens, there is a wide variety of issues that are of unique concern to our elders,” Senator Lewis stated when the forum was announced.
