MILFORD, MA — A local cannabis company teamed up with a Milford nonprofit to collect items for veterans and military families.
Blackstone Valley Cannabis, a medical and recreational dispensary in Uxbridge, recently held a collection drive in partnership with Thanks To Yanks to support veterans and military families. The effort comes as the community-based organization prepares to once again send a taste of home to troops deployed overseas.
Thanks To Yanks is a local charity dedicated to supporting military families. The collection drive is one of several events the nonprofit hosts throughout the year to assist men and women serving in the military.

Earlier this year, the nonprofit sent Girl Scout cookies to troops serving overseas and partnered with a local bank to host a free magic show for the children and grandchildren of those currently in uniform.
And in the fall, Thanks To Yanks collected items for homeless veterans and veterans in need as part of the Imperial Hope for Heroes Campaign.
