Milford Car Accident Snaps Utility Pole
Police said the driver bent over to grab his phone that he dropped.
MILFORD, MA — A utility pole was split after a car crashed into it last week. Police said the driver of the car was okay. The crash happened on Whitewood Road on Wednesday.
According to the accident report, the car was driving east down Whitewood Road when the driver dropped his phone. The driver bent down to try to grab the phone and swerved off the road, hitting the utility pole, according to the report.
The utility pole was snapped in half and the front airbags went off, but the man told police he was not hurt and refused medical attention. His car had major damage to the front end and had to be towed away.
