Milford Public Schools said the national contest was sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. The competition was meant to celebrate National French Week.
The AATF has sponsored the student media contest since 2013. It's meant to promote connections to Francophone themes and invite students to make short videos or interactive media based on an annual prompt.
This year, students were asked to create media based on the theme "Design Your Future with French."
The school district said that the 2026 competition was especially strong, with about 100 videos submitted from 40 different schools across the U.S., including Milford High School.
